An optional feature of the new release of TAMonitor+ automatically sends patients a gentle nudge (in the form of a SMS text reminder) 7 days prior to their scheduled test date.
The text will be sent only to patients who ‘opt-in’ to the service. The intention is to reduce the number of DNAs and the consequent cost of calls and letters to reschedule. Activating the service requires a small one-off set up charge and the only ongoing cost is for the texts at 7 pence each – a small cost when offset by savings from the reduction in the number of DNAs.
