TAMonitor™
is designed to be as simple and efficient to use as possible. It comprises a
computer programme which collects electronic blood results from your
laboratory, and stores them in a database. You can then check those results
for abnormalities, trend them to identify deteriorating conditions, and
audit them against pre-set frequencies to identify patients who haven’t
attended for blood testing when expected.
Connected
Forget about manually creating and amending record cards for patients from
paper results. Simply notify your laboratory of those patients’ details,
and, provided your lab can produce electronic results, let TAMonitor™’s
connection to a mailbox or hospital network collect the results and process
them automatically. Reduce time and improve efficiency by letting the
machine do the work.
Configurable
Everything in TAMonitor™ is configurable. Lists of drugs, rules
associated with them, reasons for cessation of treatment and diagnoses, can
be added, changed or removed at will. Even the text for the automatically
generated patients’ and primary care physicians’ letters can be altered.
Automated
TAMonitor™
even automates the onerous task of populating the patient database. If you
have hundreds of patients to monitor the last thing you want to do is
reserve precious resources typing each record in individually. If you
choose to do so, TAMonitor™ will automatically identify new patients
from received blood results, create a new patient record with as much
demographic detail as is supplied in the result, and then prompt you to
confirm the addition of the patient in the database. That means that you can
start using TAMonitor™ from day one, without having to wait for all
your patients to be added to the database.
Useable
The daily monitoring chore suddenly becomes a background task. Every morning
start TAMonitor™ and let it collect the most recent results, scan,
trend and audit them while you get on with other things. Collect the reports
of any patients’ problems, check them over, escalate them as necessary and
get on with the business of providing patient care, confident that the
monitoring task has been completed accurately.
Expandable
TAMonitor™
is supported by a number of modules that further extend is use by providing
correspondence, reporting, portability of data and linking to hospital
patient administration systems.
Multi-specialty
TAMonitor™
is a multi-specialty drug monitoring system, and is available for primary
and secondary care physicians. It can provide a complete solution to the
clinical governance requirements of 2nd line drug monitoring.
