Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Q Do we have to pay for THERAPYAUDIT?
That depends on the module you have, and whether your use of the module has been sponsored by a third party such as a pharmaceutical company. Any costs that you as clinicians may have to pay will have been clearly identified for you.
Q Can we add any extra fields to the database to collect data of interest
to us?
A At the current release
of THERAPYAUDIT (v1.0) users can add up to 26 of their own fields, but these
can only be text fields.
Q Is there a diary facility in THERAPYAUDIT for flagging up-coming
appointments?
A At the current release of THERAPYAUDIT (v1.0) there is no diary facility.
However there are development plans to add this facility for release 2.0.
Q Can we use THERAPYAUDIT to generate clinic letters?
A At the current release of THERAPYAUDIT (v1.0) there is no letters module.
However there are development plans to add this facility for release 2.0.
Q Can we use THERAPYAUDIT on PDAs such as PocketPC?
A No, we currently do not support the use of THERAPYAUDIT on mobile devices.
Q How does THERAPYAUDIT link to our other hospital IT systems?
A THERAPYAUDIT has been designed to be simple and flexible and as a result
the basic version does not link to other IT systems to extract data (such as
blood results). It is, however, fully accessible by other IT systems such as
an Electronic Patient Record (EPR) solution that may want to see the data
THERAPYAUDIT holds. There are additional modules that will integrate
THERAPYAUDIT to other IT systems but these must be purchased from THERAPYAUDIT Limited. Call

Q Can we have more than one user of THERAPYAUDIT (can we log in with
different usernames and passwords to identify different users)?
A Yes you can. To do that you simply add more user accounts in THERAPYAUDIT.
As there is a full audit trail facility we strongly encourage you to use
different accounts to identify who does what.
Q Can we use THERAPYAUDIT on more than one PC in the department?
A Yes you can. To do this you must identify a 'shared area' on the computer
network which is accessible by all the PCs you want to install THERAPYAUDIT
on.
You then install THERAPYAUDIT on each PC, and make a copy of the
THERAPYAUDIT database in that shared area on the network. Having done that
the last thing to do is to log in to each THERAPYAUDIT on each PC in turn
and 'point' it at the database on the network. The network location of the
database is always shown in the title bar of the main THERAPYAUDIT window.
Q Can we get any training in the use of THERAPYAUDIT?
A You can, but you will have to pay for it. THERAPYAUDIT is supplied with a
User Guide with worked examples, help files, email support and resources in
the relevant area on the website. Additionally you may have had some help
with installation and initial data entry. All this will help you to get to
know THERAPYAUDIT, so a need for formal training is very unlikely. However,
if you still feel you require training Call +44 1284 725146 for more
details.
Q How long does it take to populate THERAPYAUDIT with typical patient
details?
A Experience shows that, once someone is familiar with using THERAPYAUDIT,
it takes about 20 minutes per patient to go through paper notes and extract
historical as well as current information.
Q Are there any other therapy areas covered by THERAPYAUDIT?
A Currently THERAPYAUDIT modules support the collection and audit of data on specific projects int the areas of Gastroenterology, Rheumatology and Dermatology.
Q Our IT department wants to know the technical details about
THERAPYAUDIT. What can we tell them?
A THERAPYAUDIT is a Microsoft .NET application utilising .NET Frameworkversion 2.0, a Microsoft
Access database on the THERAPYAUDIT PC (TAPC) product, and a Microsoft
SQLServer or MySQL database on the web-based THERAPYAUDIT Enterprise (TAEnterprise)
product. In its basic form THERAPYAUDIT does not need to interface with any
other IT systems, but is fully accessible by them. It is a single, or
multi-user system. Access to THERAPYAUDIT is governed by its own user
account.
